I’m a small town girl from a little community by the bay in Newfoundland. I’ve also lived in Nova Scotia, Australia and now call Fort McMurray my home.
My love for photography started when I was little as my mom always carried a camera and my childhood home was always full of photos. It’s instilled in me to need document memories, beautiful people and my surroundings. I began a photography career when I was only 18 and worked as a glamour/school and family photographer back before the digital camera world. I traveled a lot, met many people and had a lot of fun. A couple of years later, I found myself yearning for a university degree and changed careers to become a teacher. I’ve taught in Fort McMurray Catholic School district for 11 years now.
Three years ago, my beautiful son, Royce came into the world. I took a break from teaching to be his full time Mommy which then allowed me to rediscover photography and learn the digital side of things. What a learning curve it has been! It’s a profession that requires never ending learning and I cannot get enough of it!
I’ve been in business almost a year now and I am loving it! Life’s so busy keeping up with a busy three year old and trying to get my business off the ground but I’m working in the cracks of time and making a go of this passion of mine. I’m so excited to see where this will take me.
